
John Rothery
Osteopath
John graduated from Oxford Brookes University with a BSc (Hons) in Osteopathy, completing his training between 2009 and 2014. Since qualifying, he has continued to expand his clinical expertise through a wide range of postgraduate education and professional development.
He holds additional Master’s degrees in Obesity and Sport Development, as well as a teaching qualification in Physical Education and Science. John has also undertaken further clinical training beyond osteopathy, including injection therapy and related procedures at Nottingham University.
He later completed a Master of Physician Associate Studies (MPAS) at Swansea University, developing advanced clinical skills including competency in injection-based treatments as part of NHS-funded training.
John previously served as Clinic Director and Principal Clinician at Rothery Health Clinic, and has contributed to the profession through teaching and lecturing in osteopathy, including work with the MSc Osteopathy programme at Swansea University.
Alongside his clinical work, John is currently pursuing a PhD in Public Health at the University of Essex, where his research focuses on obesity and how healthcare practitioners, particularly physiotherapists, support patients living with obesity.
Outside of work, John is passionate about endurance sports. He has completed multiple Ironman competitions in France, Wales, Denmark, and Spain, and has taken part in ultramarathon events in locations including Alaska and Jordan.
