Vadim Kalganov B.Ost (Hons) Dip Ac TCM MAcS – Osteopath
Vadim qualified from College of Osteopaths, Staffordshire University with a Bachelor Degree in Osteopathic Medicine. He gained five years of clinical experience as part of his training which enabled him to treat a wide variety of muscular-skeletal conditions.
Since graduating, he has obtained first-hand experience as an associate in established osteopathic practices in both the UK and Italy.
Vadim takes a patient-centred approach to the therapy and utilises a wide range of techniques within his treatment protocol. These include medical acupuncture, mobilisation, and manipulative techniques, kinesio taping, electrotherapy (TENS&PENS) and exercise rehabilitation.
Vadim’s special area of interest is motor recovery after stroke, as well as vestibular rehabilitation of the patients affected by neurodegenerative conditions such as Parkinson’s disease. He is also experienced acupuncturist and herbalist. Vadim effectively combines Traditional Chinese Medicine with conventional clinical methods for the treatment of certain chronic and rheumatological conditions.
When not working you will find him hiking and exploring National parks in Italy.
He is a member of the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) and the Institute of Osteopathy (previously British Osteopathic Association) and Acupuncture Society.
