Louise Chatland – Osteopath in Cambridge
Cambridge Osteopath Louise Chatland holds a Master’s degree in Osteopathy and Diploma in Naturopathy from the British college of Osteopathic Medicine
Louise graduated from the British College of Osteopathic medicine with both a masters in Osteopathy and a Diploma in Naturopathy. Louise’s osteopathic and naturopathic training enables her to take both a structural and holistic approach to treatment assessing the body as a whole. Louise treats a wide range of complaints using a variety of Osteopathic techniques including mobilisation, harmonics and manipulation, assisting the body to heal itself, whist reducing pain, improving function and optimising health.
Louise first found an interest in Manual therapy following her own experience of physiotherapy as a teenager for scoliosis. She has since been passionate about pursuing a career in Osteopathy since attending work experience at Amber Health clinic in 2012 and 2014. Where she became intrigued by the whole-body treatment which Osteopathy provides. Louise has further been influenced by many of her university tutors, who demonstrated a variety of approaches to osteopathy.
In addition to hands on treatment Louise believes that treating patients as a whole is an important aspect in aiding their recovery. Her master’s thesis at university centred on the effects of taking frequent breaks form sitting within the workplace on the reduction of musculoskeletal disorders (aches and pains), which suggested that making small changes to one’s day can make all the differences to a patient’s symptoms.
